Delhi University approves appointment, promotion of teachers

The Executive Council of Delhi University today approved the recent appointment and promotion of teachers in its emergency meeting here.

The committee members met for around half-an-hour discussed only one agenda as it was an emergency meeting, sources in the committee told PTI.During the meeting, the members approved the recent appointment 50 teachers and promotion of some teachers by the university.

The appointments were based on the recommendations of selection committees of various departments in the University, they said, adding that UGC norms have been followed during the process.The EC is the highest decision making body of the university.
