Subject: Grant of. Dearness Relief to Central Government
pensioners who are in receipt of Provisional Pension or
pension in the pre revised scales of 5th CPC - w.e.f.
1.7.2008 and 1.1.2009.

In continuation to this Department's OMs No. 42/2/2008-P&PW(G)
dated 12th September, 2008 and 25th September, 2008 sanctioning the
installment of DR admissible from 1.7.2008 and this Department's OM No.
42/12/2009-P&PW(G) dated 27th March, 2009 sanctioning the installment of
DR admissible w.e.f. 1.1.2009 the undersigned is directed to say that the
President is pleased to grant the DR to those Central Government pensioners
who are in receipt of Provisional Pension or pension in the pre-revised scales
of 5th CPC at the rate of 54% w.e.f. 1.7.2008 and @ 64% w.e.f. 1.1.2009.

2. The other terms and conditions of this Department's OM dated
12.9.2008 and 27.3.2009 remain unchanged.

3. In their application to pensioners/family pensioners belonging to
Indian Audit & Accounts Department, these orders are issued in consultation
With C&AG.

4. This issues with the concurrence of Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure vide their UO No. 350/EV/09 dated 12.10.2009
